While we’re still working on the Old Dam Farm LLC and it’s homepage at OldDamFarm.com, I wanted to let you in our most recent step forward. Since no site is even halfway complete without a logo, I set myself the task of coming up with one (at least a temporary one). Anyone who knows me also knows that my artistic skills lie somewhere between the 2nd and 4th grader levels, but that I am also very aesthetically oriented. It’s a tough combination: I know what looks good but can’t begin to create it.
Here is what I came up with, and at the very least it should work as a reasonable launching off point for improvements in the future. First is the generic logo. This is a simple drawing cast into oil paint.

Since I see this as a motif to use elsewhere here are the two logo’s I see as actually having direct use. The top is a banner[ref]See the banner in action over at Olddamfarm.com.[/ref]Â and the bottom is a square label for printing.
Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions or ideas!
